Nudge

Moves in screen pixels, so the step means the same thing at any zoom.
Nothing selected.
Click a star, or drag a box across several.
Registry
Right-click a nation — or press and hold on a touchscreen — to see
everything it holds: its dossier and every system it owns.
The active nation (highlighted) is what the Claim tool paints and
what Shift-click assigns. Unclaimed stars belong to a neutral nation —
invisible, but it still holds ground, so borders stop at unowned space instead of
swallowing it.

Overlay — reference on top
Tick Move on a layer, then drag on the canvas to reposition it. Untick to lock it and get your tools back.
Spectral classes
Relative weights — they need not add to a
hundred. Size travels with the class, so a blue giant is drawn larger than a red
dwarf. Saved with the map.
Body counts
How often a rolled system has company.
Map file
Autosave
Kept in this browser so a crash or a stray back
gesture doesn't cost you the session. Layer images are left out — they would exceed
the storage quota on their own. Not a substitute for Save.

Map operations
Mirroring flips the whole map about its own centre and can be undone.
A new map cannot.
Sectors
Regions traced with the Sector tool
(S). Their names show when zoomed out, so a reader can place
themselves before system names resolve.
Tags
Defined here and shipped with the map.
Applied to individual systems here and in the viewer; players cannot invent new ones.
Factions
Blocs above nations. Assignment is yours alone —
the viewer can colour by faction but never change one.
Create them here, then set each nation's faction from the
dropdown on its row under Nations.
